Our Team
David Aufhauser
David Aufhauser is a visionary executive, entrepreneur and innovator. He has built iconic fan and athlete businesses for companies including BayFC, Lifetime Cardinal, Intel Sports, Pac-12 Networks, Yahoo Sports, JustinTV/Twitch and Momentum. He recently led an ownership group to bring BayFC - an NWSL expansion team - to the Bay Area. David is currently an operating partner with Accelerate Sports, a boutique sports investment bank. David has delivered immersive experiences for teams and leagues including the Olympic Games, NBA, NFL, MLB, PGA Tour, La Liga, Turner, NBC, and ESPN. As an athlete, David played water polo at Stanford and is an avid basketball player.
Doug Schaer
Doug Schaer is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and innovation. He has held leadership roles with high-profile entities including LiveOne (NASDAQ: LVO), Bull Horn Holdings (NASDAQ: COEP), and served as Chief Advisor to Baron Davis’ family office. Doug co-founded Hero Ventures, producing The Marvel Experience with backing from Magic Johnson, Steve Tisch, Roy Disney, and the WWE. Today, he advises and invests in a diverse portfolio of ventures across tech, AI, CPG, gaming, and emerging sports properties like SailGP, Versus Game, and Good Good Golf. A trained attorney and former professional athlete, Doug brings deep expertise in franchise asset development, M&A, and strategic growth.
Matt Hall
Matt Hall is an accomplished operator, strategist, and part-time investor with deep experience scaling high-performance teams across startups and global enterprises. He has held leadership roles at Porsche Digital, Peloton Technology, and Mercedes-Benz R&D, and advised on acquisitions and capital raises for sports, mobility, and media ventures. Matt has led deals involving Formula E racing teams, digital media platforms, and minority stakes in professional sports franchises. As a former elite endurance athlete and MBA from Cornell, he brings a competitive mindset, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to execute. Today, he advises and invests in early-stage companies while taking on fractional leadership roles in high-growth environments.
